Nerf Maverick firing trouble?

Ok so i modded it two times. Barrel mod so it swings out all the way like a real pistol, and the firing mod so it fires farther and faster. But ever since i did the barrel mod, its no shooting anything, it just makes a very loud boom/bang noise. Could i have moved something on the inside? Please help! Its my fav gun!!
