Any tips to cooking a shoulder piece of London broil in a crock pot?

i put london broil in the crock pot all the time because my husband loves it tender. i season it w/ salt pepper garlic add onions and instead of water i use beef broth to cook it in... every now and then i will add tomatoe puree....
