My 4 week old has a cold is there anything i can do to help him?

Most of the medcines he cant take till he is 3 months. I have tilted his cot i was told you cant put vicks vapour rub on a bib to help him. He isnt refusing feeds he is just grumpy,sneezy and congested. He is still gaining weight
