How long will it take me to learn spanish if .. ?

I'm sorry to differ from others but Mexico has the worst spanish spoken ever! If you speak like mexicans do, they will understand you in Mexico and nowhere else. Spain also has great variations from the spanish use regularly even though is the "mother" country. I'd go to southamerica, whoever said that is in bad condition is wrong. Any country you chose would be nice, I recommend Colombia, specifically the DC. It has been recognized as the best spanish around, and I see LOTS of foreigns everyday that come here just for fun or to learn the language.
